REVISED POLICIES

The following policies have been revised:

  • Excursions: Off School Sites
  • Employee Performance
  • Housing for Country Employees
  • Staff Induction
  • Student Health Care

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - REVISED POLICIES

EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

The Employee Performance policy has been amended to include a new procedure and an Appendix for the performance management of principals. The process for monitoring the performance of principals will be through the Principal Professional Review (PPR) and differs from performance management requirements for all other employees. 

EXCURSIONS: OFF SCHOOL SITES

Section 5.2.2 - Assess Transport Arrangements in the Excurions: Off School Sites policy had been amended with the additional of information relating to seatbelt compliance for school buses, license requirements, insurance requirements and authorising the use of private vehicles.

Changes to the nomenclature to reflect the new regional structure have also been made.

HOUSING FOR COUNTRY EMPLOYEES

The Housing for Country Employees policy has undergone a major review. This policy determines the provision and administration of housing for Department of Education employees deployed to a regional location.

STAFF INDUCTION

The Staff Induction policy has under gone a major review.  This policy provides all newly appointed employees with a formal induction that introduces them to the Department and their worksite.

STUDENT HEALTH CARE

The Student Health Care policy has undergone a major review. The policy details the procedures to be undertaken by a school in order to address the management of health care or medical matters during school hours.
