OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - NEW POLICIES

RISK AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT

This new policy replaces Risk Management within the Education and Training Portfolio: Policy, Procedures and Guidelines. The policy complies with contemporary statutory requirements and includes guidance on business continuity planning.

EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

The Employee Performance Policy emanated from a review of the Policy Framework for Performance Management and Managing Unsatisfactory and Substandard Performance for Teaching Staff and School Administrators and was developed to support enhanced implementation of performance management practices in the Department. The policy focuses on increasing individual employee accountability and opportunities for professional growth.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - REVISED POLICIES

COMMUNITY KINDERGARTENS

A statement has been added to the Community Kindergartens policy web-page that concerns enrolment and selection criteria information provided in the policy.

EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

Section 6.3 - Response has been amended within the Emergency and Critical Incident Management policy.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS

The definitions of 'Phasing in Arrangements' and 'Relevant Change to Criminal Record'  within the Working With Children Checks policy have been amended, as have Appendices A.3, A.4 and A.6.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - NEW GUIDELINES

PROTOCOLS FOR HOSTING DIGNITARIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS

These guidelines provide a reference point for when a school is hosting dignitaries, planning official functions and events, and occasions when a school is hosting a visit by the Minister for Education.
