Mailing List

General Information

This mailing list has been set up for the Leadership Centre by the Education Department. It's sole purpose is to notify school administrators in the Government School System of the professional development opportunities that are available to them.

It is a closed list which means that the mailing list owner is the only one with the capacity to subscribe or unsubscribe people to the list. If you want to subscribe or unsubscribe you will have to send a message to the Principal Consultant of the Leadership Centre with a request for that to be done.

Subscribing

To get notification messages you will need to be subscribed to the mailing list. If you want to subscribe to the list please send an email to: leadership.centre@det.wa.edu.au

Restrictions

Please reply to the messages you receive or send a message to the list ONLY if you are letting other subscribers know about professional development opportunities that they can attend. This is a closed list set up specifically for one purpose. It has been set up so that school executives can control the number of unsolicited messages that they receive. People using the list for other purposes will be unsubscribed.

In addition to the restrictions on the subject matter of messages which can be sent to the list there are restrictions on the sort of language and references that will be tolerated. You should regard all messages sent to the list as public and subject to the ethical and professional standards required of Education Department employees.

Register As An Aspirant

The Aspirant program currently operates as a workshop of one day duration for approximately 20 participants, either from the Leadership Centre during school terms or in District venues as negotiated. The program gives a 'taster' of some of the aspects for consideration in leading schools. The themes are:

• Instructional Leadership
• Self As A Leader
• Challenging People
• Community Leadership

Register your Professional needs

By registering your professional development needs, you will be contributing to the establishment of a database of requests which will be used for developing new professional development opportunities. You will also be notified of professional development opportunities which arise in the areas you have nominated.
