Role of Labour Relations
The Labour Relations Directorate is responsible for ensuring policies and practices in the Department of Education are
developed and consistently applied to support productive labour relations, improved employment conditions and workplace flexibility
within legislative and economic constraints. The Labour Relations Directorate further provides strategic and operational industrial
advice, advocacy and negotiation to DoE management at central and district offices and schools.
