Premier's Message

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the 2009 WA Education Awards.

Last year’s inaugural awards celebrated the champions of our public schools and included teachers, principals and school support staff who have made significant contributions to education in this State as well as the contribution made by schools in the key areas of literacy, numeracy and science.

It was wonderful to hear of the many inspirational stories brought to light as a result of the awards. I look forward to witnessing once again the creativity, dedication and passion of those who contribute to excellence in education and set the bar for present and future generations of Western Australians.

I encourage you to participate in these prestigious awards by nominating individuals and schools making a difference to public education in WA.
