Judging Process

Judging panels will comprise representatives from education associations, senior Department of Education and Training staff, Directors Schools, academics and sponsors.

Separate panels will be set up for each category and will comprise a chairperson, executive officer and up to five panel members. Judges will assess each nomination based on the selection criteria using a scoring matrix to identify the semi-finalists and State finalists in their category.

Judging panels will conduct site visits with State finalists (individuals and schools) to determine the winner in each category. Before the site visits, judging panels will develop a list of questions and who they would like to speak with. The chairperson and executive officer will then forward this information to the school. After conducting site visits the chairperson and executive officer will then provide a report to their panel based on the site visit and the panel will determine the overall category winner.
