General Information
Every child's performance is reported to parents via the WAMSE Individual student report. These are normally distributed
with the schools end-of-year report.
The WAMSE Individual student report contains the following information:
- Performance in relation to the population of students in his or her year group who were assessed in Western Australia
- Progress in relation to the levels of achievement typically associated with the years of upper primary and/or
lower secondary schooling.
- Various skills and knowledge that students typically demonstrate in Science and/or Society and Environment as they
progress through the years of upper primary and/or lower secondary schooling.
- Population comparisons on the report scale display the range of achievement of the test cohort. The student’s
result is plotted to show his or her position on this scale.
NOTE: These results are obtained from a limited testing situation and provide, at best, a ‘snapshot’ of the
student’s achievement. They do not replace the judgements made by the classroom teacher.
Duplicate copies of reports are not available.
