The Staffing Branch ensures all schools are staffed with appropriately qualified teachers.
Personnel in the Staffing Branch provide advice on a range of Human Resource policies and procedures including the access of leave, placement processes for permanent, fixed term and graduate teachers and access to permanency and part-time employment.

Due date for Placement Requests for 2009 from:
- permanent teachers
- referred teachers and school psychologists (unplaced permanent teachers and school psychologists and Employer Initiated Placement teachers and school psychologists); and
- permanent school psychologists

Due date for Permanency Confirmation Forms for 2009 |

Final date for teachers who wish to be ongoing in the Country Teaching Program (CTP) to advise of their intentions for 2009 |

Final date for permanent teachers and school psychologists seeking a transfer:
- to alter their Placement Request; or
- to activate a Protective Transfer
Due date for Placement Requests for 2009 from:
- fixed term teachers and school psychologists; and
- graduate teachers
Update for graduate teachers: The due date for Placement Requests has been extended until 30 September 2008. |

Final date for permanent teachers and school psychologists seeking a transfer to withdraw their transfer. |
| Late October 2008 onwards |
Placement notification:
- Referred teachers and school psychologists will be notified of placements; and
- Permanent teachers and school psychologists will be notified of their transfer outcome.

| Mid November 2008 onwards |
Placement notification:
- Fixed term and graduate teachers and school psychologists appointed to vacancies will be notified of their placement.
