Marking of the 2009 NAPLAN Writing task is scheduled for the week beginning Monday May 18 and will continue until Friday June 12.
Although markers will not be required for Reading and Numeracy in 2008, it is anticipated that they may be needed in future years.
Qualified teachers will undertake the Writing marking and expressions of interest will be sought from eligible teachers.
Participation in marking is recognised by WACOT and the Professional Learning Institute as system-endorsed professional development.
Further information about marking the Writing task and an Expression of Interest form will be available early in 2009.
The closing date for submission of the Expression of Interest will be 27 March 2009.
