General Information

The MSE Society and Environment School Assessment Materials consist of 8 tests for students in years 3, 7 and 10.

At each year level, six substrands can be assessed, and it is possible to gain an indication of students' level achievement in these strands. The strands are

  • Investigation, Communication & Participation
  • Place and Space
  • Resources
  • Culture
  • Time, Continuity and Change
  • Natural and Social Systems

Before conducting assessments, teachers should leave themselves enough time to read the teachers manual to become familiar with the standardized administration procedures and assessment requirements.
