At present, a reasonable number of "pre-leased" notebooks are available. These notebooks have been returned by staff leaving their employment with the Department, or going on long-term Leave without Pay, etc. (Notebooks returned for performance reasons, repair work etc are not available under this offer unless either repaired satisfactorily or replaced).
As one might expect, a mix of models is available. While older models may not be as fast, they are often quite "sought-after" as leases are shorter than the full three years. As a result, teachers may upgrade sooner to a new lease on a new model. (For example, a notebook originally provided in Semester 1 2008 will be ready for renewal in Semester 1 2010.) To allow an informed choice to be made the specifications for available models are posted for download below.
Approximate lease expiry dates for these notebooks are shown alongside the specification sheet. Teachers opting to take on the lease on one of these machines must understand that the lease is binding until its expiry date.

Notebooks may be requested by completing the registration form and returning it to the NFT Team at Central Office. Any model may be requested, but stocks are limited, especially Apple notebooks - please note any caveats on availability, above. Model preference should be indicated on the form. If no substitute model is acceptable, please indicate a single model only so that no notebook will be supplied if your preferred model is not in stock.
