The Department will immunise, at no cost to staff, those persons (and their dependents) identified as working in isolated areas nominated as being high risk by the Department of Health.  Any staff member; and those staff who may have been exposed to the risk of Hepatitis B by blood-to-blood contact in the course of performing their duties.

Departmental staff must minimise the personal risk of acquiring infections, such as Hepatitis A or B and other blood diseases, by adopting standard precautionary measures.

If you require Hepatitis A or B immunisation, contact your local doctor or community health unit.

Payment

Doctors fees and the cost of vaccination will be reimbursed by Employee Support Bureau.

The community health unit will send an account for replacement vaccine to Employee Support Bureau.
