The Casio Data Analyser (EA - 100) comes with a temperature probe, light sensor and voltage probe. The other probes need to be purchased separately as required and/or funds allow.
We have found that, with just the three probes, quite a number of experiments can be carried out. Students are able to collect data using the Data Analyser, which they can then download into their calculators and analyse.
Alternatively, the teacher can conduct an experiment as a demonstration using the Data Analyser, the students then download the data into their calculators and analyse it.
A significant number of Physics and Chemistry experiments already exist which can be easily adapted and carried out in this manner.
We have used this approach with a number of the experiments found in the STAWA Chemistry Laboratory Manual, the Physics Investigations in Context Year 11 and Physics Investigations in Context Year 12 books.
