District High Schools Country Week Awards
The Department of Sport and Recreation and School Sport WA present the Active Achievers Country Week Awards annually. This award, which commenced in 1992, recognises outstanding contributions made by young women and men to their school and community. Each school participating in the 2003 School Sport WA Country District High Schools Carnival is invited to nominate students for this prestigious award.
Macquarie Bank Future Problem Solving Program
Future Problem Solving is an international educational program for students of all ages from P - 12 that focuses on the development of creative thinking skills. In particular, it centres on the skills of problem identification and positive solutions to those problems.

SCRAM - Schools Conflict Resolution and Mediation
SCRAM provides an enjoyable, dynamic way of introducing students to the mediation process. It is aimed at high school students and is an interactive role-play encouraging the development of mediation skills in secondary schools. The mediation is based on fictitious community based scenarios in which a team of 6 - 10 students is given background information on a problem.

The Rock Eisteddfod Challenge®

TOMS is a problem-solving program for teams of students from both primary and secondary years. They are required to solve demanding, open-ended challenges from one of the following disciplines: Language Literature, Maths Engineering and Social Sciences
The design challenge is to create a product, process or concept in the most innovative and creative way that not only adds value to an Australian primary product but also teaches the youth of our country the importance of innovative ideas.
The WA Youth Awards recognise and reward outstanding young Western Australians aged 13 to 25 years. Entering a young person for an award is an opportunity to highlight their strengths and achievements. It is a chance to demonstrate to the wider community the hard work and dedication of young people.
Students who are selected to participate in the Academic Talent Program are eligible to apply for the Olive A. Lewis scholarship.
The scholarship is available to students in Years 8, 9 and 10.
The Olive A. Lewis scholarship is provided for children of ability whose further education might be restricted because of financial need.
Parents of children who may be eligible for the scholarship should contact the ATP Coordinator at the respective school.
Please note that applications close on 31 December for scholarships that are awarded to students for the following school year.
