It Pays to Learn Allowance
Making education and training more affordable

The State Government is making education and training more affordable by continuing the It Pays to Learn Allowance for 16 and 17 year olds.

The annual allowance is $200 for students turning 16 or 17 in 2008 in Years 11 and 12, and up to $400 for those students turning 16 or 17 in 2008 in full-time training, as well as in apprenticeships and traineeships.

Education and training are critical to your children's future. That's why the Government is committed to helping families provide the best possible start in life for young people.
