A renewed focus on early childhood development and learning has led to the Australian Government working with WA and other states/territories to implement a number of reforms.
Some of the priorities set for the next five years include a focus on closing the gap for Aboriginal children, better coordinating Kindergarten and Pre-primary programs with child care services, and working closely with parents to help with early learning in the home and the transition to school.
Ongoing consultation with parents and early childhood professionals will provide a clearer picture of how every child can get the best start in life.
