The Review was called to examine the current provision of educational services and supports for students with disabilities and to identify the principles of effective and most promising practice to enhance the delivery of supports for these students. The Review was undertaken by the Student Services Directorate. There were two stages to the Review and both have been acknowledged as being broad based and comprehensive consultative processes. The Review was supported by independent research and information analysis. Over 300 nominations were received for participation in working parties from schools, parents, professional organizations, community groups, other agencies, government departments, Department of Education and Training central directorates and district offices.
