District Education Services - Curriculum Support

The Curriculum Team provides advice and support for planning, learning, teaching, monitoring and assessment in relation to student achievement. This includes:

• The Curriculum Framework
• The Outcomes and Standards Framework
• The eight Learning Areas
• Middle Schooling
• Post-compulsory Education
• Managing student behaviour.

In addition the Team supports teachers in expanding their repertoire of strategies eg collaborative learning strategies, thinking skills, literacy and numeracy strategies, Information processing skills, Communication Technologies (ICTs), School Information System (SIS).

The District Office houses a collection of resources for the teaching of Languages Other Than English (LOTE). Information on the centre may be found on the Curriculum Directorate's LOTE site.
