PREMIER'S TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2005

The Premier's Teacher of the  Year Award is an annual program recognising the  outstanding skills and  excellence of teachers in public schools across the  state. Information has already been sent to schools and  advertisements in the  press will appear shortly.  VISITING CARTOONIST

East Victoria Park PS  has a cartoonist visiting their school on 22 and 24 June to take workshops with all students from pre-primary to year seven. He is coming from Sydney and has 20, 21 and 23 June available to work with other schools. If you are interested, please contact him direct.

VENUE FOR TRIBES TRAINING           

Do you have a facility at your school that can be used by a group of 40 adults for four days?  Anjie Brook is seeking a free venue for Tribes Training being held in the Canning Education District from June 13 - 16.  If you have a facility available please contact Anjie Brook on 93110594 or 0437156493.

 MARKETING YOUR SCHOOL

An excellent professional development opportunity exists for Principals, Registrars and interested staff members on Marketing your School. The workshop is presented by Linda Vining, a marketer from the Centre for Marketing Schools and is being conducted through the Leadership Centre, please see attached flyer.

 EDUCATION SUPPORT APPLICATIONS - STUDENT ASSESSMENT DATA FILE

The Student Assessment Data File (SADF) is currently completed as part of the application for Education Support.  This has recently been updated and some changes made;  

As per the previous version, there is space for both parents and teachers to comment.  This can be done in a combined meeting with the child's parent(s) and teacher(s), or separately. A copy of the Student Assessment Data File to be used is attached.  This replaces a draft which was recently discussed with Student Services staff at District Office. If you have any queries, please contact Margaret Stewart or Elizabeth Moran at District Office on 9311 0500.
