STELLA SCOLARSHIP AWARDED TO RANFORD TEACHER

Congratulations to Karen Parker of Ranford Primary School on being selected as one of seven ALEA STELLA (Standards for Teachers of English Language and Literacy in Australia) scholars in Western Australia. ALEA (Australian Literacy Educators Association) is undertaking this research project across Australia to evaluate the value of the STELLA materials as a tool for professional learning and explore and evaluate a mentoring process.

The STELLA scholarship consists of a grant of $1,000 to each scholar's school for use as teacher relief over the duration of the project, registration at the National ALEA conference, complimentary one year membership of ALEA and an honorarium of $500 to be paid to each scholar on completion of all project requirements.

Congratulations, we wish Karen well in her research and look forward to sharing this information across the District at the conclusion of the project.
