CELEBRATING CANNING BREAKFAST: A message from Lindsay Usher

This morning I experienced one of the most enjoyable and rewarding displays of excellence in artistic performance and a celebration of achievement that I have ever seen.  It brings great credit to this office and the schools who made such a fine contribution.

It could not have been achieved without Barb Horan's vision and skill in preparing such a wonderful event.  Congratulations Barb, you have made a huge and positive impact on the collective view of Canning and its schools.

My many thanks to all of those workers from the Office who made the morning work and have assisted in bringing huge dollop of credibility to our efforts in providing a service to our schools and the community.

The only problem is that it was so successful we will have to do it again!

Many thanks to all who contributed.

CANNING DISTRICT POOLS FOR 2006

This year, the Canning District established pools of applicants for short-term acting appointments that have occurred within the Canning District during the year. It supported the District's aspirants' program and eased the workload in filling vacancies that occurred during the year. This process will be used again for the 2006 school year.  It is the intention of the District Office to have advertisements posted on the Internet at the jobs online page prior to the end of term to allow applicants the time over the holidays to write their applications. Please alert prospective applicants in your schools that the District Pools will be established as per last year.

PRINCIPALS' BRIEFING:  Wednesday 21 September 2005

Venues and agenda for the Principals' Briefing will be sent to schools from their respective Directors next week. The briefings will be conducted by the District Directors with their own group of schools.
