CURTIN PRIMARY SCHOOL - AUSTRALIAN INNOVATION FESTIVAL
Curtin PS has been selected to participate in the Australian Innovation Festival with its outstanding Curtin Culinary Collaborative Pedagogy program, a cross-curricula initiative addressing life skills and in particular diet. 2005 ABORIGINAL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS CONFERENCE
The Indigenous Participation and Achievement Standards Directorate (IPASD) of the Department of Education, Training and Services will be hosting the residential conference at the Novatel Vines from 31 August to 2 September. The theme of this year's conference is Accelerated Outcomes. A list of all Indigenous Teachers is being compiled and Principals will be contacted in the near future to provide them with conference registration information. ANNA SINCLAIR - SECONDMENT TO CENTRAL OFFICE
Anna Sinclair, Manager Operations has won the position of Senior Policy Officer in Central Office for a 3 month period commencing on Monday 9 May. In Anna's absence Ross Murray, Principal Jarrahdale PS, will assume the role of Manager Operations and April Sheridan will take over as Principal.
We wish Anna, Ross and April well in their respective leadership roles.
MARY DURACK AWARD FOR YOUNG WRITERS
The Award is for students within the Shire of Kalamunda and City of Armadale only and rewards young writers in a number of age group categories. The closing date for entries is Saturday 11 June and further information is available from Tricia Hockey at the High Wycombe Library on 9257 9974.
SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH 2005
All schools by now should have received information on the Science Teachers of Western Australia (STAWA) Science Talent Search. 2005 marks the 47th year of this esteemed competition that promotes science teaching and learning.
