A reminder that next Wednesday 9 March is the first Administrators' Briefing for 2005. The Briefing will take place at the Bill Cole Function Centre in the Riverton Leisureplex on High Road Riverton. Coffee and Registration from 8am onwards and we will commence at 8.30am with an overview of system initiatives delivered by Kevin O'Keefe. The Briefing closes at 12.30pm and an agenda is attached to the Exec Email.
The first Canning District Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 30 March from 8.30 - 10.30. Please note that the meeting will be held in the boardroom at Sevenoaks Senior College NOT the District Office. An agenda will be sent out prior to the meeting.
Canning District Office and Curtin University are working together to offer training to teachers in the Aussie Optimism Program, a research based mental health promotion program which promotes social and emotional wellbeing. This training is being provided free of charge. Please see attachment for details.
In an effort to support high quality early childhood education, Canning District Education Office is creating a mailing list for teachers, administrators and education assistants to disseminate ideas and information relating to the early childhood phase of schooling, within a 0 to 8 years context. Principals are asked to put forward names and email addresses of staff wishing to be added to the list to Julie.Walker2@det.wa.edu.au
