Introduction

MacquarieNet is an online reference database with a unique Australian focus. It offers access to a variety of Australian and international information including:

  • general encyclopaedias including Macmillan and Columbia;
  • over 30 encyclopaedias and reference titles specific to Australian content;
  • Macquarie dictionaries;
  • Images from more than 15 Australian online image libraries;
  • AAP and ABC archived newsfeeds.

The subscription is for all students in Years 4 -10 and their teachers, from July 2005 until July 2008.

Please note: the Department has not licensed this resource for the use of students in Kindergarten through year 3, year 11 or year 12. See Authorised Users.
