WA Ambassadors

Professor Judith Rivalland and Beth Powell have accepted an invitation to be WA’s Ambassadors for National Literacy and Numeracy Week.

 

Professor Rivalland has worked in the area of literacy education since 1967. Throughout her career she has been a passionate advocate of literacy learning. Through leadership, research and practice over more than 40 years, her work has had an impact on literacy education both nationally and internationally.

 

Beth Powell is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts and Education at Murdoch University, Perth. She is acknowledged nationally within the numeracy field as a leader and innovator in numeracy education. Beth has participated in a wide range of numeracy projects over the past 30 years.
