 Leon Davidson [Australia & NZ]
Author Leon Davidson lived in Australia for 6 years but has recently returned to New Zealand. Scarecrow Army (2005) about the ANZACs at Gallipoli is his first book.

Garry Disher [Australian]
Born in 1949, Garry Disher grew up in the dry wheat and wool country of mid-north South Australia. He has written children's and young adult fiction, adult fiction (notably the Wyatt thrillers), history textbooks, books about the craft of writing and short stories. He has also edited several anthologies. His writing is highly acclaimed and Garry has won numerous writing awards and Fellowships.

Ursula Dubosarsky [Australian]
Children's and young adult author Ursula Dubosarsky is recognised for her original and imaginative writing that challenges the reader. As soon as she could read, Ursula wanted to be a writer and she wrote stories, poems and puppet plays throughout her childhood and adolesence. Mike Dumbleton lives in Adelaide and is a secondary school teacher. As well, he writes picture books for younger readers and educational texts for teachers. Teachers will also be interested in Mike's Online Literacy site which can be accessed from his Home site.
