Elizabeth Vercoe
Author and artist, Elizabeth Vercoe lives in Melbourne. Her first book, Keep Your Hair On!, a novel based on her own experiences with cancer was published in 2003. The Grief Book: Strategies for Young People shortlisted for the 2005 Eve Pownall Award for Information Books is her second book. Winner of two Caldecott Medals, Chris Van Allsburg is considered to be one of the greatest children's book illustrators. His books are unique, intriguing and mysterious. The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, one of Van Allsburg's most captivating and imaginative books, has been republished in 2000 and is available in Australia. Chris grew up in Michigan, USA and began his artistic life as a sculptor.
