Astronomy - Curriculum Context

Students understand and appreciate the physical, biological and technological world and have the knowledge and skills to make decisions in relation to it.
Overarching Learning Outcome 7
These resources relate in particular to the aspect of the Science outcome, Earth and Beyond, that states:
Students recognise the relationship between the earth, our solar system and the universe.

There are several destinations in and around Perth that provide worthwhile programs and experiences for students.
  • Horizon, The Planetarium
    The planetarium at Scitech Discovery Centre presents multi-media shows about our solar system and beyond.
  • Perth Observatory
    Site includes information about the Observatory Education Program.
  • Gravity Discovery Centre
    This science, art/environment museum has a number of educational programs available for both primary and secondary students.
