Copyright in the Classroom

The accessibility of the Internet and developments in technology have created a new publishing medium where anyone can publish online to make their work instantly available to a huge audience.

While this has meant that information is more readily available and reaching a larger audience, it has also raised a number of issues related to copyright that must be considered in schools.

The national Copyright Advisory Group (CAG) has developed the Smartcopying Website to provide a comprehensive guide to copyright issues affecting Australian schools.

Copyright is a complex issue and one that should never be ignored. Seek advice if you have any copyright questions.
