This list has been set up through EdNA to encourage discussion and sharing among Western Australian Teacher Librarians, Resource Teachers, Library Technicians, Assistants and Officers, and any other type of people interested in school libraries. It is not intended to replace OZTL_NET but to work alongside the national listserv and provide information and networking opportunities at the local level.
It will provide for the "torn pages" and video requests, PD notices and discussion on local issues which do not normally require national listings. Discussion on topics of general interest should be posted to the national list.
The list will not be moderated and messages will be distributed as sent. Robust discussion is encouraged. However, if discussion deviates too far from the issues or becomes too personal you can anticipate a firm reaction.
How to subscribe:
1. Send an email to: lyris@edna.edu.au
2. In the body of the message type: subscribe watlnet
3. Leave the subject area blank and turn off your Internet signature
4. A confirmation message will be sent; you must reply to the confirmation message within a certain period or you will not be subscribed.
Once you have subscribed you can send messages to the list by using the following address: watlnet@edna.edu.au
