    http://www.det.wa.edu.au/education/cmis/cat/receivedsearch.asp

  3. If the item has an ISBN then search by this number. If you have items without ISBNs search by the title. If the item is on the list put your copy aside and check SCISWeb again later.

  4. Items not on Awaiting Cataloguing - Send to the Cataloguing Section!
Western Australian schools can send the item to Cataloguing.

  5. The address for mailing is:
      CMIS Cataloguing
      WestOne Services
      1 Prospect Place
      WEST PERTH WA 6005

    Please note:

    • Materials purchased by schools in the previous six months are given higher priority in cataloguing. This is to enable students and teachers to access the most up-to-date, relevant resources through the catalogue to support the curriculum. For information about items older than 6 months click here.
    • Make sure your school stamp (or barcode label) is on the item, we don't want any orphans! Please make sure that any labels do not cover the ISBN barcode or any other publication details, eg. date, place of publication, etc.
    • Put a brief record on your automated system, e.g. Title and ISBN.
    • Book the item out to CMIS so you know where it is.
    • Pack the items, preferably using padded bags. Extra padding will usually need to be put into computer software boxes to prevent them being crushed in the mail.
    • Metropolitan public schools should use the DET courier, CMIS will pay return postage for country public schools. Private schools will need to make arrangements for the items to be delivered and collected.
    • Items returned to you from Cataloguing will have the SCISWeb number written in the front. This number can be used to order catalogue records from SCISWeb.
