Using Learning Technologies In the Health & Physical Education Learning Area teachers have traditionally planned and delivered teaching and learning experiences that cover a balance of knowledge and understandings, attitudes and values, skills and processes. This has occurred in a variety of contexts including, what have been seen as the traditional subject disciplines of Physical Education, Sport, Dance, Outdoor Education, Recreation, Health Education, Home Economics and Career Education.

The use of learning technologies in most instances, can be used to enhance student learning across the learning area.

The following examples are ways in which learning technologies have, or may be used within the learning area, to enhance student learning. Whilst many of these strategies are linked to the learning area outcomes, it is important to recognise the holist nature of the learning area and recognise that many of these strategies link across the outcomes.

In addition, the Curriculum Framework Learning Area Statement and the Student Outcome Statements provide many examples of how learning technologies can be used within the learning area to enhance learning.

See the Health & Physical Education Outcomes Matrix for more examples.
