The Aboriginal Education Awards of Achievement are generally presented during NAIDOC Week each year. These awards promote a positive image of Aboriginal Education, both within the school and broader communities and acknowledge the achievements of teachers, school and community groups in improving the educational outcomes for Aboriginal students.
Award nominations are called for from the school community and are endorsed by the District Aboriginal Education Advisory Council.
Nominations for these awards are called from the school community and should be endorsed by the District Aboriginal Education Council. Letters and nomination forms are sent to Western Australian public schools in April of each year.
Western Australian public schools and District Education Office staff are invited to nominate worthy individuals, schools and/or organisations on the attached nomination forms (pdf format)/(word format)
