The Narrogin Education District
The Narrogin District covers the Central and Upper Great Southern region of WA - an area of approximately 50,000 square kilometres. It has 30 schools including
- 2 Senior High Schools,
- 8 District High Schools,
- 18 Primary Schools, and
- one Agricultural College.
The District lies within Noongar country.
This website provides teachers with information about sites, resources, contacts, stories, and beliefs to allow teachers to build a picture of the rich diversity of Noongar life and culture. It gives teachers the knowledge and understanding to, as in the words of the Noongar welcome, "look(ing) at all things speaking the truth now". It also provides a profile of local Noongar families and their connectedness within the extended family kinship system which is a link to cultural identity in Noongar country.
