Schools in the Kimberley District
The Kimberley district is divided into three Aboriginal Torres Strait
Islander Commission (ATSIC) boundaries:
- The Kullarri region (West Kimberley) includes the major
town of Broome and several large Aboriginal communities.
- The Malarabah region includes the larger towns of Derby
and Fitzroy Crossing, and outlying Aboriginal communities.
- The Wunan region, which includes Kununurra, Halls Creek
and Wyndham, and many growing Aboriginal communities, is by far
the largest region.
