Special Acknowledgements
During the construction of this regional web site, many people generously gave permission for the use of their photos, knowledge, audio and materials, for which the Aboriginal Education team at the Kimberley District Education Office is extremely grateful. We would like to wish them much luck and success in the future and an enormous thankyou.
These special acknowledgements go to:
- Doris Edgar, a Yawuru elder form the Rubibi (Broome) area, for her "welcome to country" audio and her continued support of promoting Aboriginal protocols in Education.
- Lola Jones, the Kimberley, Pilbra and Goldfields Aboriginal Languages teacher, for allowing us to use her knowledge of languages and Languages Other Tan English (LOTE) photos in the Kimberley.
- Pat Dodson, a Yawuru leader in the community of Broome and activist for reconciliation and Aboriginal self governance, for his past speeches, and thoughts on Reconciliation.
