Step 3

Through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) every state and territory government have endorsed the implementation of the Australian Early Development Index (AEDI) in all primary schools (or equivalent) throughout Australia.  This means that all Pre-Primary teachers from Western Australian schools will be required to complete an AEDI survey for each child in their class in Term 2, 2012.  To assist schools in preparing to undertake this task, we request the completion of the attached spreadsheet. Providing ACCURATE information now will help to pre-populate elements of the survey, thereby saving schools time, later, and reducing teacher workload. Please complete and return the spreadsheet below as soon as possible.  Completion of the spreadsheet is strongly recommended.  Additional AEDI information can be found here.

  • Download Spreadsheet - complete all columns taking care to confirm physical address details are correct (please avoid using Post Office Box addresses)
  • When completed, e-mail as an attachment to census@det.wa.edu.au
  • State Student Census COMPLETED
