- select 'Save Target As...' (Firefox)
'Save Link As..' (Internet Explorer)
and accept default location of desktop
- click the save button
- When 'File Download' is complete click close button
- Files can now be accessed, move to an appropriate directory on your system
if retaining for school records.
Schools that
CAN
produce a 'CSV' upload file

Step 1
Any
private school that is using a Student Administration System that is
able to produce a 'csv'
file can upload this file directly into the new Student Census
minimising data entry requirements.
Details on how to produce this file and data required is provided
below.

a call with the Customer Service Centre (CSC) on 9264 5555 for metro
callers, 1800 012 828 for regional callers or e-mail
customer.service.centre@det.wa.edu.au. Please advise the Customer
Service Representative your name along with your school's name and
suburb when calling.

using the CSV upload process to check valid previous school codes have
been entered

Access the new
Student Census using the unique code
issued as per e-mail dated the 2nd February January 2012.
Step 3
Through the Council of
Australian Governments (COAG) every state and territory
government have endorsed the implementation of the Australian
Early Development Index (AEDI) in all primary schools (or
equivalent) throughout Australia. This means that all
Pre-Primary teachers from
Western Australian schools will be required to complete an AEDI
survey for each child in their class in Term 2, 2012. To assist
schools in preparing to undertake this task, we request the
completion of the attached spreadsheet. Providing ACCURATE
information now will help to pre-populate elements of the
survey, thereby saving schools time, later, and reducing teacher
workload. Please complete and return the spreadsheet below as
soon as possible. Completion of the spreadsheet is
strongly recommended. Additional AEDI information can be
found
here.
