The Science Assessment
In the Science Learning Area, the four conceptual outcomes and the process outcome, Investigating, are assessed.

All students will take part in two 45-minute tests as follows:

Test A:

  • Natural and Processed Materials

  • Earth and Beyond

  • Investigating

Test B:

  • Life and Living

  • Energy and Change

  • Investigating

Approximately 50% of the questions in each assessment will assess student achievement in the Investigating outcome in the context of the relevant conceptual outcomes.

MSE9 2005-2006 Rawscore-WAMSE Conversion Tables

The following conversion tables allow the user to convert raw test scores to WAMSE scores so that appropriate comparisons can be made.
