Expression of interest

To join the Community Languages Program and become eligible for funding.

  • The Community Languages Program Steering Committee meets quarterly to consider all expressions of interest. You will be notified immediately the Committee has made its decision, and if accepted into the Program, will be sent an Application for Funding form in January of the next school year.

Information requested about the community organisation

  1. What is the name of the community organisation?
  2. Is it a non-profit making organisation?
  3. What is your name and your position in the organisation?
  4. How can the Committee contact you?

Information requested about the operation of the school

  1. Is the school a member of the Ethnic schools association of WA?
  2. When (day/s and times) and where is the school operating?
  3. How many teachers are there? What teaching qualifications do they have?
  4. How many students are there? How old are they?
    Please note: Funding will be provided only for students who are Australian citizens or have permanent residence status in Australia and attend a registered primary or secondary school.
  5. Is enrolment in the school restricted in any way?
  6. What other sources of funding does your language school have?

Information requested about the learning program

  1. Which language is taught at the school?
  2. What cultural, religious and political studies are included in the learning program?
  3. How is the learning program structured?
  • How long are the lessons?
  • What sorts of activities are provided for the students?
