  • Vietnam is becoming a popular tourist destination for Australians. Almost 40 000 Australians travelled to Vietnam in 1996.
  • Vietnamese uses romanised script.
  • Vietnam is growing in status as one of Australia’s trading partners.
  • Many Australian businesses have now established links and offices in Vietnam, for example Telstra and BHP.
