Information for Apple computer users
What is Teachers have Class?
a free online professional learning program:
- using SchoolKiT’s pdPoint to improve your skills with Microsoft Office and the Internet;
- that leads teachers through ICT integration ideas for the classroom;
- with a wide choice of workshops to suit teachers of years 1-12.
Current Program requirements
To be part of the program you need to:
- have access to a notebook or desktop computer with internet access; and
- complete up to 5 Instructor-led online workshops or choose
a combination of instructor-led, anytime workshops, or
self-paced books in your own time over 18 months.
Information for Apple computer users
If you are using an Apple computer please note that the activBook learning component of pdPoint will not run on a MAC operating system. However, the Department's current schools subscription agreement includes Office MAC Professional. This suite of programs includes Virtual PC which can be used to create a PC operating system on an Apple. This means that Department teachers using MAC's can participate in Teachers Have Class by using Virtual PC.
