Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) 2009

Description

ITAS provides supplementary tutorial assistance to assist Aboriginal students with their literacy and numeracy skills in years 4-10.  Students undertaking TEE studies may access tuition in other subject areas.  Tutors work with students individually or in small groups.

There are four ITAS elements in public schools.

  1. Primary ITAS Tuition

  2. Lower Secondary ITAS (Years 8-10)

  3. Upper Secondary ITAS (Years 11 and 12)

  4. ITAS Specialised Programs
Secondary students involved in Follow the Dream will be eligible for tuition.  The Follow the Dream coordinators will administer the tuition program.  Students accessing tuition through FTD are not eligible for funding from any of the other programs stated above.

  5. 2010 Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) Programs   This document details changes and requirements of the ITAS programs for 2010.  Tentative allocations can be made for 2010 in order to assist with staffing but these allocations will be subject to the attendance of students at the school for the 2010 school year.
