Dragonflies take off at Swan View

2 July 2013
Quintin Beazley and Robert Wielewis (Year 11 Certificate I /II Engineering students) are using the bending equipment as funded by the School Pathways Program, Defence Industries.

The students are using a special bender which allows shaping of multiple section steel profiles for use in fabricating projects. These projects include dragonflies, Australian animals and the manufacturing of go-cart, motorised bike and hovercraft components.

Teachers (John Vidler along with Glenn Jones and Ray Higgott) enthusiastically guide and motivate the students in this innovative program, which provides pathways to further studies in Engineering and Design and Technology at Swan View Senior High School.
