SDERA Media

Community education and advocacy for resilience, drug and road safety education in WA school communities plays an important part to help keep young people safer.

SDERA aims to keep school communities informed and updated on current trends, research and state and national strategies related to resilience, drug and road safety education.

SDERA wants to fill this space with interesting and informative news about resilience, drug and road safety education in WA schools.

So if you have an interesting news story or photograph that highlights the great work you are doing in the fields of resilience, drug or road safety education, send it to us and we will do our best to feature this on our website and/or in the SDERA newsletter.

SDERA’s quarterly newsletter offers its readers a variety of information on resilience, drug and road safety education. It includes the most up-to-date research, resources and professional learning opportunities for school-based staff, website, regional and agency information-including a Smarter than Smoking insert and stories from schools around the state who help to promote SDERA’s message of helping to keep young people safer.

Win a SDERA resource
Would you like to win a copy of SDERA’s Challenges and Choices: a resource for resilience, drug and road safety education? If the answer is YES then all you need to do is submit an article and photo about an event or program that is running at your school in the areas of resilience, drug or road safety education.

Details for submitting articles for 2014
SDERA is keen to receive articles submitted for this newsletter by school-based staff and other interested agencies.
A free resource is on offer to those who have a submitted article published.

The deadlines for items for this newsletter are:
Term 1: 10 January
Term 2: 11 April
Term 3: 27 June
Term 4: 20 September

Email articles (of no more than 200 words) and any photographs (as a jpeg file) to sdera.co@education.wa.edu.au
