Professional Support

The professional support team provides advice and support to schools and networks regarding the use of student performance data to inform whole-school planning to improve student learning outcomes.

The professional support team assists school leaders to:

• analyse data to identify aspects of the curriculum that may require focused attention for cohorts, groups and students at educational risk
• analyse data to establish trends, evaluate programs, track cohorts and make comparative judgements to establish school improvement priorities
• analyse data to inform the development and implementation of learning, teaching and assessment programs that target improvements in student achievement, with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy
• identify meaningful and relevant performance information to evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.
