Teachers have Class!

The Department of Education WA is providing a FREE online professional learning program for teachers using SchoolKiT's pd21 program.  Available through the portal, Teachers have Class! provides relevant and practical online self-paced, on demand and instructor-led courses focused on technology integration with best practises pedagogies.

Self-paced Books:
Short interactive workbooks in foundation technology with best practice integration models

• 10-minute teacher skill builders
• Getting started with Microsoft Office applications
• Curriculum integration concepts and skills

Anytime workshops:
Workshops provide self paced courses that teachers can complete at their convenience

• Blogs, podcasts and wikis in the classroom
• Developing games and puzzles - using PowerPoint or Word
• Structuring and publishing digital projects
• Teaching to the multiple intelligences: Planning tools

Instructor-led classes:
Instructor-led classes involve a starting date for online interaction with an instructor and colleagues

• Using sound to stimulate writing
• Modelling genetics using Excel
• Teaching algebra with technology
• Using databases in Science
