Professional learning for staff

This section provides information and resources related to professional learning opportunities and courses to support Department staff to improve their skills, maintain their requirements for WACOT and engage in ongoing professional activities as part of their job role.

In this section:

• Developing skills for using ICT in the classroom – Frameworks to support teachers to develop and enhance skills in using ICT in the classroom.
• Accessing OPL courses – Information to support staff to access and engage in Department-provided online courses through the Department of Education's Online Professional Learning (OPL) system.
• Creating Department OPL courses - Information for staff within the organisation about developing an OPL course for delivery in the Department of Education's Online Professional Learning (OPL) system.
• Online conduct and cybersafety – Resources to help staff better understand their online responsibilities and support them in making informed decisions about the safe and appropriate use of ICT.
• Online professional networks – An introduction to the concept of online professional learning communities with suggested networks suitable for staff to share and collaborate.
