Reporting

K-10

Expected standards C Grade Descriptors
Descriptions of expected standards (linked to an end of year C grade) have been developed to assist principals and teachers to make judgements of student achievement for end of semester reporting.

The Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting policy requires all public school principals and teachers to make judgements of student achievement in relation to expected standards. Descriptions of expected standards (linked to an end of year C grade) have been developed to assist principals and teachers in this process. Decisions regarding ‘if’ and ‘how’ to use the expected standard descriptors are made by individual schools.

A-E exemplars
The samples of student work included within this resource will support teachers to make judgements in relation to the expected standards that earn an A-E grade in Years 1-10. They have been developed in collaboration with practising teachers to assist in reporting student achievement to parents.

Reporting to Parents
Advice papers and sample reports.

Student Achievement Information System (SAIS)
SAIS is a data analysis application that tracks and graphs student achievement data entered into SIS by individual student, class, cohort, school, district, band and state. SAIS also tracks and graphs student achievement and progress in system assessments.

School Information System - Curriculum (SIS)
SIS is software that supports teachers to plan, monitor, evaluate and report to parents. The software enables teachers and schools to generate the Department’s system report template to report student achievement to parents.
