The Western Australian government has registered some training organisations to provide training for apprentices and trainees. Registered training organisations (RTOs) negotiate training plans with the employer and apprentice/trainee, provide training and assessment, and issue the qualifications.
RTOs need to ensure that the quality of training in apprenticeships and traineeships is maintained in the implementation of any employment and training arrangements. The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) provides the quality assurance arrangements to underpin the quality of training delivery, assessment and issuing of qualifications. RTOs are required to meet and maintain the standards within the AQTF.
RTOs are required to refer to and be familiar with the information on the State Training and Recognition System and particularly the following documents:
RTOs may apply to access ApprentiCentre - Training Record System (TRS) for apprentices and trainees for whom they are the registered training organisation. The TRS NET Access form is available by clicking here.
