Working conditions vary depending on your apprenticeship or traineeship you are undertaking.
If
you start a traineeship, you can expect about $250 a week as a full
time trainee for a Year 12 school leaver for your first year.
You
will be paid for the time you spend at work and in training. Check the
details for your chosen apprenticeship for specific details with
Wagenet as wages can vary. Your employer will be able to tell you if
you're paid under a State or Federal agreement.

Things like the cost of tools for
some trades and wage top-ups may be available to you to help lessen the
cost of your training.
You might also be able to get a living
away from home allowance if you'Âve had to move away, or you might be
able to claim travel and accommodation allowances.
